studio uses Stripe Connect for everything financial. Deposits are taken when a commission is accepted. Balances settle when the work is delivered. The money lands in your bank account, not a wallet you have to empty.
When you accept a commission, the collector's card is charged for the deposit you set. The money sits in escrow at Stripe, not at studio — we never touch your funds. The deposit is your reservation fee. Once it's taken, that slot is yours and the collector knows it.
If the collector cancels within the refund window you set, the deposit goes back to them. After that, it stays. You decide where that line is.
You shouldn't have to chase an invoice for work you already delivered.
When you mark the commission delivered, the collector confirms receipt. The remaining balance is charged to the card on file. The full amount, minus Stripe's processing fee and our flat platform fee, lands on its way to your bank.
You don't send an invoice. You don't write a follow-up. You don't have to remember which client owes what.
One-time setup with Stripe Connect. They handle KYC and identity. We never see your bank details.
The collector's deposit is held by Stripe. Visible in your earnings page as "pending."
The collector confirms. The balance settles. Your "pending" becomes "available."
On a rolling schedule — daily or weekly, your choice — Stripe moves "available" funds to your bank account. Usually two business days.
The commission price you set, minus the fees below. Always shown to you before you accept.
Stripe processing — 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction (varies by region).
studio platform fee — 5% on completed work. Flat. No tiers.
